Grateful Heart Ranch was born from a place of deep love, a strong faith, and a belief that God can heal even the deepest hurts. We here at Grateful Heart Ranch, see God do this everyday.
The biggest thing here at the ranch, is not the people or the animals it's the presence of God's peace and hands in everything.
Before anything else, we give thanks to God for His love, His provision, and His care for all living things. We believe we are called to live with grateful hearts and to show compassion to both people and animals. With a goal to educate and show compassion to people while bringing the animals together with them to heal.
Despite what the world says, we here at Grateful Heart Ranch know, God loves and values every human and every creature.
Our journey began when two lives intersected at just the right moment.
Marie, a fiercely independent 90-year-old woman, had devoted her life to animals. But her ranch had fallen into disrepair, and she could no longer manage it alone.
At the same time, I was walking through profound personal loss and searching for healing, purpose, and direction.
What brought us together wasn’t coincidence. It was something greater.
Together, we began restoring the ranch. What started as a place of brokenness became a place of healing, not just for us, but for hundreds of animals.
Today, Grateful Heart Ranch is a sanctuary built on faith, compassion, and second chances.
Every animal here has a story.
Some were abandoned.
Some were rescued from neglect.
Some were saved from slaughter.
Others came when their owners could no longer care for them.
Today, over 350 animals and birds call Grateful Heart Ranch home.
Caring for them is a 365-day commitment, from sunrise to long after sunset. Feeding, medical care, cleaning, and companionship never stop. Not even in the rain or the storms.
In the daily routine of it all, Grateful Heart animals learn they're valued and no longer have to wonder why they lost their home or their people because Grateful Heart Ranch is their forever home with people who show them love every single day.
For years, we focused on the work itself. Now, we share these stories so others can be part of the mission, because...
...we can’t do this alone.
